One entry, no cookies

Wandrux does not set cookies. Not first party ones, not third party ones, not session ones.

What it does write is a single local storage entry, which records which button you pressed on the bar at the bottom of the screen so the bar stays shut afterwards. That is the entire footprint.

There is no advertising storage, no measurement storage, no pixel, no beacon, no fingerprinting attempt, and no embedded component from another company capable of storing anything of its own. This is not a claim about intent. It is a consequence of a site that loads its stylesheet, its script, its two typefaces and its photographs from its own domain and requests nothing from anywhere else.

Why the difference from a cookie matters

It is not a technicality worth glossing over.

A cookie rides along with every request your browser makes to the domain that set it, which means it travels to a server continuously and invisibly. Local storage does not behave that way. A script on the page writes it, a script on the page reads it, and it stays on your device unless something deliberately transmits it. Nothing here transmits it.

That is why the bar at the bottom of this site is worded as a notice rather than a consent request. The rules that govern advertising and tracking storage have nothing to bite on, because there is no advertising or tracking storage. The two buttons produce the same privacy outcome; they exist so that the record of your answer reflects what you actually chose.

Other companies

None are involved while you read.

The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font service. No script arrives from a delivery network. There is no map, no video embed, no comment system, no share button and no social widget anywhere on the site, and those are the usual doors through which somebody else's storage walks in.

One external service is contacted, once, and only if you act: submitting either form passes what you typed to a relay that forwards it to the publisher's mailbox. That request carries your message and places nothing in your browser. Submit nothing and no request ever leaves this domain.

Logs are a separate thing

Each request a browser makes carries an address on the network plus a handful of technical details, and the hosting company keeps that in logs which expire quickly. No website anywhere avoids this, since the information is what allows a request to arrive at all.

Those logs live on the provider's systems, not on your device, and they are not readable by anything running on this page. The Privacy Policy covers them properly.

Check it yourself

None of the above needs to be taken on trust. It takes about a minute to verify.

Open developer tools, usually with F12, and find the storage or application panel. Local storage for this domain will contain the single named entry. The cookie list for this domain will be empty.

Then open the network panel and reload. Every request will point at wandrux.com. That single test settles the whole matter: storage belonging to another company can only arrive after a request has gone out to that company.

Removing it

Clearing site data for wandrux.com deletes the entry. Deleting the single key from the storage panel does the same thing more surgically. Private browsing discards it when the window closes.

A browser configured to block storage outright also works. The script is written to continue without it, and the only visible effect is the bar reappearing on each visit. Nothing on this site sits behind storage, because there is nothing to remember: no account, no preference, no basket.

If this page ever gets longer

Should advertising, measurement, or any other form of tracking be introduced, this page would be rewritten before anything reached your browser. It would name each item, its owner, its contents, its lifetime and the way to refuse it, and the bar would become a genuine consent request.

The revision date at the top records when this was last true. An old date means nothing has changed.
